§ 8.41.220. Penalties, strict liability, and nuisance.

  • A.

    Any person violating any provision of this chapter of the Shasta County Code shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

    B.

    This chapter is a regulatory provision necessary for the protection of the public health, welfare and safety. In any criminal prosecution for a violation of this chapter, it is not necessary to prove knowledge or criminal intent.

    C.

    A violation of any provision of this chapter constitutes a public nuisance. This chapter is cumulative to all other remedies now or hereafter available to abate or otherwise regulate or prevent public nuisances or to enforce the provisions of the Shasta County Code.
